The play’s highlighting of past prejudices will hopefully serve to shed light on the world’s current state of political turmoil. The stellar cast includes recent Oscar-nominee Andrew Garfield in the role of AIDS-ravaged Prior Walter, and playing villain-for-the-ages Roy Cohn is the singular Nathan Lane, who says of the production: “In light of recent political events here in the U.S. I can’t think of a better or more timely play to be doing.” The show runs April through August. nationaltheatre.org.uk
