Barbara Mele studied English Literature at Fordham University, where she proofread and wrote for The Observer, the school paper. During college, Barbara worked as a florist and fell in love with that world – she now has her own shop in Tudor City where she spends her days when not using her eagle-eyes for Metrosource. She has three daughters, is married to fellow Fordham grad Pete Mele, and they live in Queens with a wild garden and an indestructible chocolate lab-pit rescue. Her goals include world travel and genius-level amounts of reading, which happens to only be one book a week!
Metrosource, a division of the Davler Media Group, is an integrated media company committed since 1990 to presenting the vibrant lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community with ideas, resources and events to enhance their lives.
