Dr. Dormer's interest in skincare began while working with burn victims in ICU wards during her tenure as a Critical Care and Pulmonary specialist in New York City. As the Director of ICU wards, Dr. Dormer gained expertise in controlled skin healing, giving her a unique perspective on managing skin health. After opening a cosmetic medical practice of her own in 2000, Dr. Dormer decided to integrate her expertise in skin healing with her desire to help patients achieve radiant skin. The result was the creation of a powerful preventative anti-aging skincare system known as Dr. Anita. Dr. Dormer remains one of the only skincare professionals with critical healthcare experience, making her uniquely qualified to address the critical skincare needs of her patients. In her private practice at Dormer Medical Spa, Dr. Dormer specializes in controlled skin healing and the use of retinoids, as well as a number of other aesthetic services.
