Cher and Cher Alike: Stumping for Hillary and New Music?

Written by | Entertainment

The perennial chanteuse says that she has her priorities. One is to get Hillary Clinton elected president.

The former Mrs. Sonny Bono and Greg Allman has been hitting the campaign trail hard lately (and she’s been stumping for Democrats since RFK ran for president in 1968) trying to elect the nation’s first female Commander-In-Chief. Just two days ago, she appeared with Hillary Clinton at a fundraiser in Provincetown, scene of last week’s gay event of the summer, Carnival. (in fact, there were a number of participants who showed up in their “Turn Back Time” costumes as a nod to the Carnival theme, “Back to the ’80s.”)

Now Cher has hinted at the possibility that with the election behind her, she may step back into the studio. With “Woman’s World,” “Believe” and “Song for the Lonely” well in her rear-view mirror, we’re all wondering: Which way will she turn this time?
