Nationally syndicated talk host Rob Redding this month talks about his “shocking” and Amazon.com top-selling autobiography “Out Loud” which recounts how losing his first boyfriend to gun violence forced him out of the closet.
The 42-year-old is calling “Out Loud” a “Brook”- half book and half broadcast.

As a Brook “Out Loud” literally deals with the first 40 years before he comes out as bisexual in April. He talks about being surrounded by death. First the death of his mother at age 18, his producer and his boyfriend Michael at the age of 39.

Recorded while in Huntington, WV and he talks about sleeping with more than 50 boys and overcoming many of his prejudices from white men. The story stands in stark comparison to his first experiences of racism growing up south of Atlanta in and culminates with his interracial romance with his first boyfriend Michael.

He also discusses his controversial move to Europe, ousting from Sirius XM’s the Power. No subject is left off the table.

Out Loud was ranked No. 2 on Amazon’s “Hot New Releases” chart and called “shocking” by CBS Radio.

Redding will speak about his book, which is now exclusively at his website ReddingNewsReview.com, at the Bureau of General Services—Queer Division is an independent, all-volunteer queer cultural center, bookstore, and event space established in 2012 and hosted by The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in NYC at 7 p.m. on Thursday Feb. 22.

He will be introduced by Terry Roethlein of Gay’s Against Guns.
