Hedwig and the Angry Inch was coming to Broadway, few could have guessed the diverse array of artists who’d take a turn at the role — from Glee cutie Darren Criss to the show’s creator John Cameron Mitchell.

Next up is powerhouse performer Taye Diggs, stage veteran of such shows as Wicked, Chicago and, of course, Rent. But even as Diggs dons the wig in late July, we can’t help but wonder if he’ll close the show or if another surprise waits in the wings? hedwigbroadway.com
