If you ask New Yorkers what makes our city great, food is always high on the list. So it makes perfect sense that the Food Network has chosen to host its delectable Wine & Food Festival here for the past eight years.
Foodies in attendance will enjoy access to over 500 world-renowned chefs, culinary personalities and producers of wine and spirits. Special appearances are made by the likes of restaurant royalty like chef Daniel Boulud and haute-chocolatier Jacques Torres. And, of course, there are always opportunities to hobnob with the Food Network elite like Bobby Flay, Giada De Laurentiis and Ted Allen (pictured). The festival is based on Piers 92 and 94, but will incorporate over 100 events around the city from intimate dinners to cooking classes to the Grand Tasting, at which attendees can sample delicacies from the area’s finest eateries and beverage producers under one roof. If that isn’t enough to whet your appetite, all proceeds from the festival go to support the chairties Food Bank for New York City and No Kid Hungry. nycwff.com
