Forget Air Force One, all those gourmet state dinners and the fact that the job comes with its own theme song. When President Obama calls in a favor, it’s for something special. And you don’t say no.

“Game of Thrones” producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss revealed that one of the perks of being president is getting to scope the show in advance of its airtime on HBO.
Describing the overwhelming success of the show, Weiss said: “For both of us, finding out the President wanted advance copies of the episodes — that was an ‘Aha!’ moment.”

The creators told interviewer Veronica Belmont that, yes, they sent Obama episodes early because “he’s the leader of the free world.” Benioff added: “When the commander in chief says, ‘I want to see advanced episodes’ — what are ya gonna do?”
