Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker
David’s last name, Bonavita, of Italian origin, translates to “good life.” His namesake is his daily reminder to live a good life every day through his actions, how he lives, where he lives, and the people with whom he chooses to surround himself. Just as much, David wants a good life for his clients as well, and feels honored to help them find a home they love for that purpose.
“I serve each of my real estate clients with dedication, respect, guidance and knowledge. My relationships with them are invaluable to me, and having their trust is the greatest compliment. Although I work with properties, serving clients is truly the business I am in, and I take that responsibility seriously from beginning to end of our journey together. Hopefully, the bond that forms will last a lifetime, and they will always call upon me as their needs and lifestyles change.”
Originally from Connecticut, David holds a BA in Psychology and an MS in Organizational Leadership from Quinnipiac University located in Hamden, CT. He also has a Certificate in Internet Technology from New York University. Prior to real estate, he worked for 20 years in digital user experience design and product development, using his creative and technical skills as well as business knowledge to provide services for Citibank, Mastercard, GE, Barnes & Noble, NBC News and Architectural Digest, to name a few.
David is well trained to listen to a client, clearly identify, articulate and define their goals and objectives, then translate that into an actionable result-driven plan. Having lived in NYC for 20 years, and as a co-op owner and board member for many years, he brings unique neighborhood insight and a residential perspective to the process of buying or renting. David is married and is a longtime resident of the Upper West Side. David and his West Highland White Terrier, Dillon, are a therapy dog team that volunteer through the Good Dog Foundation working with children in grief counseling and for a reading program helping children with reading difficulty.
