The pair consists of Roland Emmerich (director of blow-‘em-up blockbusters like Independence Day) and Jon Robin Baitz (writer of moody fare like Brothers & Sisters). Then came the trailer, which outraged many LGBTs for a seeming absence of trans people and people of color. Once you’ve seen Stonewall (it hits theaters September 25), head to metrosource.com and tell us whether you think the film is inclusive and if it portrays this important moment in gay rights history in a way that makes you proud.
