While you’re there, don’t miss a chance to see George Balanchine’s famous Nutcracker performed by the New York City Ballet (November 27–January 3, nycballet.com), featuring Tchaikovsky’s famous music and the spectacle of 90 dancers, 62 musicians, two casts of 50 students and a magical tree that grows from 12 to 40 feet on stage during the performance.
