If Love Were All: The Wit and Songs of Noël Coward
June 26 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm$10 – $20
Playwright, singer, song-writer, raconteur, and wit, Noël Coward is justly honored in the month of June in New York City as it plays host to World Pride 2019.
This enchanting soirée, curated by the Noël Coward Society, is presented on a balmy summer’s evening (the church is fully air-conditioned!) in the very heart of Greenwich Village. Interpreted by a talented line-up of performers, the master’s songs and verse and wit sparkle through the night.
Musicians include: Matthew Martin Ward, Eric Comstock, Steve Ross, Shana Farr, Richard Holbrook, Robert Hofmann, and Barbara Fasano. Readers: Jeffrey Hardy, Alan Kanen.
Songs include: Bar on the Piccolo Marina, If Love were All, There Are Bad Times Just Around The Corner, Mad about the Boy, Nina from Argentina, Don’t Put Your Daughter on the Stage, Mrs. Worthington, and other favorites.
The recital is followed by a Reception in the beautiful St Benedict’s Courtyard, a hidden gem of a garden tucked away behind the historic façades of West 11th Street and Waverly Place
