Hartman, Eric D., L.C.S.W.
"I am a psychotherapist in full-time private practice in Midtown Manhattan. I work with individuals and couples in short- and long-term psychotherapy. My clinical education began at New York University where I earned a Master of Social Work degree in 2005. I earned an advanced practice doctorate in clinical social work from Rutgers University in 2016, where my research interests included the study of dissociation, embodied perception, and the phenomenology of non-normative gender and sexuality. I have a post-graduate certificate in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and have also studied clinical hypnosis, cognitive-behavioral therapies, and couples therapy. My clinical approach is relational/interpersonal, and I utilize integrative methods to tailor interventions to fit each individual treatment. I am fully licensed by the state of New York to practice independently, and I am certified as a field instructor for social work interns." - Eric D. Hartman
