Megan Venzin

Life is an intricate balancing act. This is the mantra that Megan holds near and dear these days as she juggles careers working as a freelance writer and yoga instructor. Originally hailing from the Bluegrass State, Megan ditched the farm in 2009 with sights set on rigid, concrete pastures. Nearly a decade later, she has a just about every girl scout badge a life in the city can offer – abandoned acting career, refusal of service from many a bottomless brunch-offering establishment and a permanently locked OKCupid account. When she’s not keeping you abreast of the city’s best events and store openings in Metrosource’s NYScope and Hot Shops sections, she’s traveling to music festivals and writing about groundbreaking artists for Brooklyn-centric food and culture blog FREEwilliamsburg and internationally renowned EDM publication, DJ Mag USA. She also puts the hot in hot yoga at Surya Yoga Academy in Jersey City at 6 AM and 9:30 AM on Mondays. Come to class, it’s never too late to start sweating!
