Cyndi Lauper Debuts "Funnel of Love" Video – Plus, Got Questions for Cyndi? We're Talking to Her!

Cyndi Lauper’s next album, Detour, her take on classic country hits of the ’40s, ’50s, and ’60s, is out May 6. Here, the video for the album’s first single, “Funnel of Love.”

The song is the 1961 hit by Wanda Jackson, and it’s a peak at a what to expect from the upcoming Detour: Cyndi’s signature coat of wacky applied to some great music, sung with some damn good vocals. Come for the pink hair, stay for the pipes. Give it a watch here!

And while you’re here, we’re going to be talking to Cyndi! We’ve got a lot to cover – the new album, the success in London of her musical Kinky Boots, her ongoing commitment to making LGBT kids’ lives better – but we definitely want to hear from the fans. In the meantime, Detour is out May 6 (full track list below), just before she kicks off a 19-city tour of the album in Nashville (where she recorded the album) on May 9. Dates are listed here, with most shows on sale now.
