With Help From Michael Stipe, Fischerspooner Makes a Comeback Album

Fischerspooner
SIR (Ultra Records)

The celebrated New York electro-pop duo returns with their first new album in nearly a decade. Produced entirely by Michael Stipe, SIR is a collection of erotically-charged, yet profound songs that singer Casey Spooner and Stipe crafted in the home they once shared as lovers. The highly personal release also serves as a means of resistance towards popular conservative ideals today through unabashed queerness. Spooner describes the tantalizing first single “Have Fun Tonight” as “a queer ballad about polyamory (…or polyagony) encouraging your lover to go out and have fun without you.”
