Imitation of Life: Cindy Sherman Lives Large in LA

Now through October 2

In less than a year, The Broad has made a huge splash in LA’s art world with its unparalleled, post-WW II art collection.

That splash continues to ripple with this first special exhibition, Cindy Sherman: Imitation of Life. Sherman — who famously often uses herself as a subject — explores the influence of popular film and celebrity in these larger-than-life photographs. Unlike Gloria Swanson, for Sherman, the pictures never got small. thebroad.org
