LGBT Community Mourns Shooting

We share our community’s grief over the events at Pulse.

Metrosource shares in the LGBT community’s grief over the shooting at Orlando gay nightclub Pulse over the weekend of Saturday June 11 and Sunday June 12. Even as we continue to celebrate LGBT Pride in cities like Philadelphia and Los Angeles this very same weekend (and across the nation throughout the month), this violence is a reminder of the continued importance of standing together. Our hearts are broken for those we have lost, those who have been injured, and anyone whose friends and family have been affected by this tragedy. Days like these can leave us feeling sad, angry and confused. However, together we will remain strong, proud and determined to not allow fear to keep us from being who we are.

We invite any community members and allies who want to send messages of support or offer other thoughts and feelings about these events in the comments section below.
