Season 2 of Vicious Begins on PBS

Our favorite lovably bitchy gentlemen of a certain age — and NYC Pride grand marshals — are back on TV.

Freddie (Ian McKellen) and Stuart (Derek Jacobi) returned to PBS last night with Season 2 of Vicious. And because sometimes the gods are listening, the season’s first episode was centered around Violet, played by the stern, dour and wholly wonderful Frances de la Tour.

The series, which earned both McKellen and Jacobi a spot on our 2014 “People We Love” list, airs Sunday nights through September 27. Check pbs.org/program/vicious/ for local air times. (You can also stream episodes after they’ve aired.)
