Still Haven't Found What You're Looking For? Try Joshua Tree

At the dawn of the 1990s, Irish rockers U2 made a pilgrimage to Joshua Tree, and their trek resulted in a landmark album. Isn’t it time for you to find inspiration there as well?

Roughly two to two and half hours from Los Angeles are two places worth a visit: Palm Springs and Joshua Tree National Park, a national park renowned for its beautiful golden red rock formations and desert landscapes. The park is named for the abundant bristled Joshua trees found throughout the park, and as a unique piece of American topography, it’s a popular tourist destination beloved for the hiking trails that weave through the boulders of Hidden Valley.

Palm Springs is a historical town synonymous with 354 days of sunshine. Here, you can relax poolside or visit one of the many area spas and casinos. It is the perfect desert oasis getaway with an endless choice of cool resorts and good restaurants. Whether you’re visiting for a romantic getaway, looking to party with friends, or here to get away from the city, Palm Springs has something for everyone. You can choose to stay at some of the chic boutique hotels, spa hotels or larger golf resorts with full amenities.

To get to Palm Springs, you can fly to Los Angeles International Airport, Ontario Airport or John Wayne Airport and drive from there. Or you can fly in to Palm Springs’ Airport.

The ideal time to visit is January thru April and September thru December. Summers in Palm Springs can be excruciatingly hot.
