The U.N. Hosts First-Ever LGBT Event Monday Night

This year’s Celebration of Courage event takes place inside the exclusive Delegates Dining Room of the United Nations, for the first time ever, with actor Alan Cumming and media personality Carson Kressley in attendance – along with the Crown Prince of India, Manvedra Singh Gohil.

Cumming, Kressley and the Prince (along with just-added actor Wilson Cruz and Omar Sharif, Jr.) will gather to participate in the 2016 Celebration of Courage Human Rights Awards, sponsored by Outright (formerly known as the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission). The trio are part of a tribute to honor the work of Arus Pelangi, one of Indonesia’s leading LGBTI organizations.
