Just before Vincent Van Gogh left the asylum at Saint-Rémy in Provence — only a few months before his death — he painted a series of bouquets of spring flowers: irises and roses, to be exact. The paintings were left behind to dry, and that was the last time they would be seen in the same place — until now.
