On Sunday, February 14, HBO kicks off its latest high-end drama Vinyl. Legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese, music icon Mick Jagger, and film and television impresario Terence Winter teamed up to bring to life this new series set in a sex- and drug-addled music business at the dawn of punk, disco and hip-hop in 1970s New York City.
Bobby Cannavale plays record label president Richie Finestra, who is desperate to save his company (and soul) while destroying everything and everyone in his path. Joined by Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano and a top-notch cast, Vinyl promises to be the latest in HBO’s impressive CV of top-tier TV. Like Boardwalk Empire, its pilot was written by Winter and directed by Scorsese.
