Robyn and La Bagatelle Magique have released the long-awaited video for the title song off their recent mini-album.
The video was shot in LA and directed by the artist and director SSION—whose past collaborations include video work for Perfume Genius, Santigold, and The Gossip—and features Maluca.
Robyn has traded her puffy pink-feather “Call Your Girlfriend” coat for a modern-art affair, which she dons at one point of what looks like the world’s most fun slumber party. “I loved working with SSION on this video!” says Robyn. “The thoughts Maluca, Markus, and I had about how to materialize ‘Love Is Free’ seemed to find a perfect place in Cody’s fantastic world. Flesh and paint and dreams, both good ones and bad ones.” Give it a watch!
Love Is Free, the album, was released earlier this year. It’s now available on 12″ triple gatefold vinyl with each of the tracks having an individual crafty (cool smiley acid face) that spins round on the inner label when you play the record.
Track list:
“Lose Control”
“Love Is Free”
“Got To Work It Out”
“Set Me Free”
“Tell You (Today)”
“Love Is Free (Mr Tophat’s remix, Dedicated to the memory of Falkis, R.I.P)”
“Love Is Free (Mr Tophat’s Hpnotiq house Remix)”
