Yay: Your Flying Car is Ready! Boo: It Costs $3.5M?

After decades on the drawing board and numerous intermediary flying machines, Paul Moller has a working prototype that you can actually fly. Of course, it is a bit spendy.

Moller refers to his machine as a “personal vertical take-off and landing aircraft,” although in lay terms it’s pretty simply conceptualized as George Jetson might say, as a flying car.

There are yet a few kinks to work out, but Moller’s plan is to eventually mass produce the vehicle. What’s that? You can’t wait? Moller will be happy to sell you a prototype, and that’s where the $3.5 million comes it. If you’re willing to wait along with us at Metrosource, you’ll can throw down for the bargain version for a mere $500.000 for it.
Moller’s machine takes off and lands vertically, so you can cross traffic jams and road rage off your to-do list. The car can also comfortably transport up to four passengers and reaches a top speed of 350 miles per hour.
