Carly Rae Jepsen is gaining momentum in advance of her upcoming album, E·MO·TION, out August 21 (Schooboy Records/Interscope). Today, she released its second single, “Making the Most of the Night.”
With chill verses punctuated by driving choruses, “Making the Most of the Night” is a perfect track for the dog days of summer — when we’re still rallying our energy but are a little worn out. Give it a listen!
It’s the second single off E·MO·TION, with its first, “Run Away with Me,” having recently gotten its music video. (Watch below.) The New York Times recently profiled Jepsen’s growing up since her ubiquitous “Call Me Maybe,” quoting her manager as saying her new sound has a “Cyndi Lauper-ish vibe.”
E·MO·TION is out August 21 and is available now for pre-order.
