Last year, country icon Dolly Parton graced the cover of our “25th Anniversary Issue,” and we’re happy to report that there’s plenty more Dolly in store. Early in 2015, NBC announced a deal with Parton to create a series of movies based on Parton’s songs, stories and life.
Now, Coat of Many Colors, the story of Parton’s upbringing, will debut on NBC December 10 — featuring a star-studded cast including Jennifer Nettles as Dolly’s mom, Ricky Schroder as her dad and Gerald McRaney as her grandfather. nbc.com
