Gifted comedian, actor and cross-dresser Eddie Izzard (pictured) has been touring with his one-man show Force Majeure for over two years, but this is the first time he’s brought his latest comic creation to the City of Angels.

Izzard expounds on a raft of subjects — from the heady to the mundane — including the mysteries of religion, language, spoons, dressage and guys named Steve. Though commanding the massive Hollywood Bowl as a solo comedian is no easy feat, if anyone can rule the massive hillside stage (and its demanding audience), it’s Izzard. No word yet on what color heels and nail polish he’ll be wearing. eddieizzard.com
