The two-time Metrosource cover girl returns with the most introspective album of her esteemed pop
career.
This Is What the Truth Feels Like (Interscope Records)
It chronicles both her public divorce from longtime beau, musician Gavin Rossdale, and her newfound love with country crooner (and fellow The Voice judge) Blake Shelton. As you might expect, This Is What the Truth Feels Like takes its listener on an intense roller-coaster of emotions. The album, her first solo release in over nine years, is equal parts devastatingly heartbreaking (on tracks like “Used to Love You” and “Misery”) and overwhelmingly joyful (e.g., “Make Me Like You” and “You’re My Favorite”). Gwen Stefani will perform tracks from the album — alongside some of her most recognizable hits — on a brief U.S. tour later this year.
