NAI’A – As If It Was You

With head turning, shocking visuals, and raw, emotional compositions, Nai’a is not just making music, but art. One of Music Forward’s recent LGBTQ+ Emerging Artist Award Winners, Nai’s is embodying queerness in music.

In 2020 Nai’a started to hone his skills as a self-produced artist through masterclasses with Grammy award winning producer Mike Mangini (The Jonas Brothers, AJR, Baha Men), and platinum selling songwriter Coley O’Toole (We The Kings). That year Nai’a released his first works.

After posting a video at the piano in 2022, Nai’a’s “London” found its first audience. With over 100 thousand streams across platforms and nearly half a million plays on TikTok, “London” was his first big success. But Nai’a was just beginning. In his hometown, he cultivated his first live show at a local church. Quickly, Nai’a went on to perform his original music internationally with shows in Las Vegas (AREA 15), and London, England (Breaking Sound). Now living in New York City, he has performed at almost every local music venue (Rockwood Music Hall, The Delancey, Berlin Under Ave A).

As If It Was You, Nai’a’s second album, was released on September 13th, and includes new intimate ballads that will make you melt. Listen on Spotify, Apple Music or Amazon Music.
