Though much of reality TV continues its race to the bottom, we’ve discovered a new show that reminds us of the genre’s potential.
On April 11, Discovery Channel Life premieres the six-part series New Girls on the Block. The show follows a group of women from Kansas City, MO: all friends, some partnered, all transgender. The series will follow them through issues common to many people transitioning, but also promises to explore the specific day-to-day life of this group of friends. The middle-American setting offers an especially unique look at the trans experience. For more information, visit discoverylife.com.
