Nicholas Galitzine and Tony Curran Attend STARZ’s LA Red Carpet Premiere for “Mary & George”

On Thursday, March 21, STARZ celebrated the highly anticipated premiere of “Mary & George” with a royal red carpet premiere event at The Biltmore in Los Angeles. Series stars Nicholas Galitzine and Tony Curran were in attendance as well as executive producers Liza Marshall, D.C. Moore, costume designer Annie Symons and President of Domestic Networks at STARZ, Alison Hoffman.

Hoffman praised the series for its savage wit and commended Moore, Galitzine, and Curran for their exhilarating, fresh and magnetic performances.  Following a screening of the premiere episode, which was met with a roaring round of applause, Galitzine and Curran participated in a lively conversation moderated by media personality Evan Ross Katz. During the engaging panel, Galitzine shared, “there aren’t a lot of period pieces that exist like this. And this carries an edge, this carries a queerness to it that we haven’t seen in this industry,” while Curran stated, “there’s no difference between queer love and heterosexual love, there’s just love and that’s what King James felt.”

Transporting attendees back to the 17th century, regal chandeliers and candelabras lit up the post-screening reception, where guests sipped on the King’s Punch cocktail while listening to themed music from the flutist and violinists. American singer-songwriter Hayley Kiyoko, influencer Tyler Joseph Ellis and Miss USA Noelia Voigt, among others, were also present to toast to the debut of STARZ’s new drama.

“Mary & George” premieres on Friday, April 5 at midnight on the STARZ app. On linear, it will debut on STARZ at 9:00 PM ET/PT in the U.S. and 10:00 PM ET/PT in Canada.
