Scissor Sisters’ Shears Steps out for a Solo Career

The former lead singer of Scissor Sisters, Jake Shears, has just released a video and single from his forthcoming album — the first of his solo career.

Shears, who has a sizable LGBT following, is well known for his Bee Gees’ register tenor, recasting Pink Floyd’s druggie dirge “Comfortably Numb” into a dancefloor disco anthem and collaborating with such gay icons as Elton John (“I Don’t Feel Like Dancin'”) and Sir Ian McKellen (“Invisible Light”).
