This spring, NBC is shaking up the mid-season with a comedy that tackles alternative family building in all its complexity. One Big Happy, which counts among its executive producers none other than Ellen DeGeneres, premieres March 17.
Inspired by the life of out writer-comedian Liz Feldman, the series focuses on Lizzy, played by Elisha Cuthbert, who proved her comedy chops on the delightful Happy Endings. Lizzy is a lesbian who decides to have a baby with her best guy friend Luke — just before he unexpectedly falls in love with and marries free-spirited British Prudence before she can head back to England. How will the parents-to-be and newlyweds build a family? nbc.com/one-big-happy
