These Stationers Specialize in Gay Weddings

With the recent United States Supreme Court decision, the demand for products and services designed for same-sex weddings will undoubtedly continue to boom. Nevertheless, a trip to virtually any card aisle in America will still leave anyone hoping for same-sex wedding-themed cards or stationery scratching their heads.

Fortunately, some forward-thinking companies are looking to fill that gap.

Checkerboard LTD, a third-generation family-owned stationery company, was the first mainstream company to offer fine stationery, invitations, announcements, and holiday cards for the LGBT community back in 2003 — an action considered controversial 12 years ago. The Grommet is a company devoted to launching undiscovered products inspired by great stories. Here’s the story behind the collection of cards they began recently offering called Design with Heart: When Jason Bradley-Kraus married his longtime partner Chris, they received six of the exact same card.
