What Does Pride Mean to You?

This year for Pride, we launched “Reclaiming My Pride” to highlight LGBTQ+ artists who demonstrated what Pride means to them through community, creativity and charity.

We asked the 10 finalists to record themselves answering what Pride means to them, and what we got back was nothing short of fabulous.

Did you know?

  • 40% of homeless youth identify as LGBT.
  • Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among young people ages 10-24.
  • LGB youth seriously contemplate suicide at almost three times the rate of heterosexual youth.
  • LGB youth are almost five times as likely to have attempted suicide compared to heterosexual youth.
  • In a national study, 40% of transgender adults reported having made a suicide attempt.
