Last week, a packed room of New Yorkers got to see Sasha Velour crowned as America’s Next Drag Superstar at a live event that corresponded to the airing of the last episode of the season. Bianca Del Ray and Bob the Drag queen traded barbs, Valentina took all the grief a girl could get for not learning her lyrics in the season, and general mayhem and merriment was made.
When it was all over, we asked Sasha about her favorite drag names, and how she came up with her own. Here’s her reply:
