Hedda Lettuce Is a Big Queen on a Small Throne

The Queen of Green plants herself on the pedestal she deserves.

Hedda Lettuce’s brand new show, “Big Queen…Small Throne,” is a night of storytelling and song, dragging us down the winding road from Hedda’s early days as a green queen to her current reign as the Queen of Green. Ms. Lettuce tosses up an original biographical comedic score (co-written by the talented Paul Leschen). Booze, sex, boys and Jesus are mixed up in the same bowl. Expect a night of uproarious laughter from one of New York City’s most infamous queens. Michael Musto hails Hedda as, “The undisputed grand dame of the drag comedy set. The green goddess is hilarious, quick witted and a great singer.”

Celebrate the life and times of Hedda Lettuce live at the Metropolitan Room for this very limited run, three performances only throughout the Pride season.

Performances are May 30 at 9:30pm, June 6 at 7pm, and June 27 at 9:30pm. The Metropolitan Room is at 34 W 22nd Street. 212.206.0440, metropolitanroom.com.
