Ahead of her upcoming EP Kaleidoscope (out July 7), Courtney Act has released her single “Ecstasy” at billboard.com.
Lyrically, it seems she’s talking about the euphoria of the dance floor (“When the DJ sets us free, we will be ecstasy”), but she’s said the song was inspired “after an epic & euphoric night of dancing at Burning Man a few years back,” so take it as you will. Either way, it’s a catchy, clubby, dancey track written with the LA-based production outfit The Prodigal.
Give it a listen!
William Baker, creative director for Kylie Minogue, has directed the video, due out next week. Kaleidoscope drops July 7; “Ecstasy” is now on sale.
