New York’s LGBTQ Film Festival Goes Virtual

This year marks the 32nd Annual New York LGBTQ Film Festival takes place October 16-27, 2020. Unlike previous years, one of the world’s premier gatherings of LGBTQ filmmakers and artists will be done so virtually. Viewers can purchase a Festival Pass and get access to 100 films, panels and virtual events taking place. There are three different passes to choose from FESTIVAL PASS.

Buy a virtual streaming all-access pass today to see all of the LGBTQ+ films you can’t see anywhere else! All-access passes start at just $95. Films are accessible nationwide and on-demand at watch.newfest.org.

Individual film tickets will be available on September 23rd, when we announce the full festival lineup! For customer support, contact boxoffice@newfest.org.

Get an early viewing start to the festival with ‘SO PRETTY’ an Official Selection of the Berlin International Film Festival. Reserve your ticket to receive access to the film starting Monday, September 7th at 8pm EST, and then join in for a livestream Q&A on Wednesday, September 9th at 8pm EST with director Jessie Jeffrey Dunn Rovinelli. The film is about a group of trans and genderqueer artists and activists in New York City who attempt to carve out a utopian space for themselves in an increasingly hostile world. As their lives curiously merge with the 1980’s German novel “So Schön” by Ronald M. Schernikau, they must learn to negotiate the boundary between fiction and reality amidst their struggles.

Shot with documentary-like intimacy in both digital and 16mm, this delicate tale of love, literature, and collective struggle is bracingly of the moment yet also somehow already feels like an indispensable time capsule of contemporary queer Brooklyn.
