WTF, Kansas?

A sitting state representative was just arrested for assaulting high school students after asking them about their masturbation habits and teaching them that lesbian parents inspire suicidal tendencies.

Welcome to Kansas, circa 2021.

Unhinged nutjob Mark Samsel was caught on video (and audio) harassing kids about sex because, y’know, what teenagers don’t appreciate public ridicule from a 36-year-old perv?

According to the Kansas City Star, Samsel rhetorically asked a group of students, “Who likes making babies? That feels good, doesn’t it? Procreate!”

Wow, what a mood-setter.

The elected official proceeded to knee a boy in the crotch, inviting others to follow suit. “Class, you have permission to kick him in the balls.”

But the hits just keep on comin’. Samsel teased his assault victim, taunting “go to the nurse, she can check it for you.” When he got a cheap laugh, the politician continued by turning to the boy’s classmate and asking, “do you want to check his nuts for him, please?”

The subject (naturally) turned to self-pleasure as Samsel targeted a student by inquiring, “You haven’t masturbated? Don’t answer that question… God already knows.”

Ramping up the insanity, the substitute teacher from hell repeatedly dragged the man upstairs down to his level.

“You better take a Bible,” Samsel ranted. “Keep denying God, keep denying God, see how it’s going to turn out.”

Oh, but get this: HE’S offended by OUR behavior.

Yup, Samsel is anti-gay and he’s not afraid to show it. In the most hateful exchange of the day, he recounted the story of “a sophomore who’s tried killing himself three times,” because “he has two parents and they’re both females.”

Doubling down on his homophobia, Samsel concluded, “He’s a foster kid. His alternatives in life were having no parents or foster care parents who are gay… How do you think I’m going to feel if he commits suicide? Awful.”

Not as awful as you probably feel right about now, Representative Samsel! After paying (a measly) $1,000 bond, the bigot may be free from jail, but he is no longer welcome to “teach” at the local high school.

So, even though voters are dumb enough to support a cretin like Samsel, educators are wising up to his destructive brand of idiocy. Class dismissed.
