Whose Diary Does “Drag Race All Stars” Gia Gunn Want to Steal?

Gia Gunn’s run on “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” could have painted her as trans heroine, helping to redeem the franchise after some dicey comments RuPaul had made about whether transgender contestants would be invited to participate. But, as fans of the show now know, it was Gia’s feud with fellow queen Farrah Moan that ended up being the focus of the drama instead.

To quickly recap their beef: Gia and Farrah are both LA-based queens. Referring to events that occurred there before the filming of “Drag Race All Stars” Season Four, Gia alleged that Farrah had attempted to interfere with Gia’s relationship with a third party (at Gia’s place of work), which led to a nasty verbal altercation.

However, on the second episode of “Drag Race All Stars” Season Four, Gia was portrayed as the aggressor – approaching Farrah while the queens were getting dressed, insisting that they revisit the issue. To make matters worse, Gia repeatedly mentioned she’d chosen that moment in case Farrah was about to get voted off. Adding salt to the wound, Gia brought it up yet again when Farrah landed in the bottom two. And, as it turned out, Farrah did end up going home at the end of that episode.

At that point, Farrah jokingly said to Valentina (whose winning lip synch had just eliminated her): “You don’t love me.” But when Gia said goodbye as Farrah sashayed away, Farrah pointedly retorted, “You actually don’t love me.”

With all that drama, you might think the answer would be obvious when we asked Gia which of her castmates’ diaries she’d like to snatch. You might think Gia’s answer would be to check out the secrets of frenemy Farrah. You might alternately think she’d choose to peek the diary of Monique Heart, who came to Farrah’s defense and fiercely called out the supposed desire to work out their drama as attempts to sabotage Farrah by getting under her skin.

But Gia Gunn surprised us, instead answering that she’d choose a queen who ultimately faced a very different kind of dramatic departure. See her pick in our exclusive video:

“Metrosource wants to know: out of all the queens of All Stars Four, whose diary would I like to steal?” says Gia Gunn. “And, you know, we’ve all been through so much in our lives, but I feel that the Queen on this cast that has probably been through the most is Latrice Royale.” Thus, Gia chose Latrice as the queen whose personal story she’d like most like to read. “Like me – we both have done a lot of self discovering. We have gone through ups and downs in our lives, and we have also both fallen into some legal/illegal troubles before.”
