But soon after The Public Theater first presented Hamilton off-Broadway, it became a sell-out. Now, it’s a next-to-impossible-to-score ticket on Broadway, and the show’s star and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda has been named a MacArthur Genius for changing the Broadway musical, putting Hamilton in the same league as classics like A Chorus Line and Oklahoma!
